COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM
FOR INDEPENDeNT creatives

ABOUT
THE CLUB?
Club 707 is a non-profit association founded in 2020 and based in Paris. Through multidisciplinary collective projects, its members are committed to facilitating the networking of independent artists and creative workers around Paris, France, and on a larger scale. While creating a community, we want to help make useful resources and tools available outside of established institutional circles.
To support sustainable connections within the cultural ecosystem, we foster collaborative circles, through exhibitions, round tables, festive events, and thematic gatherings. Through those collective processes, we wish to encourage the individual growth that comes with the right environment and professional support network.

artistic circles
Between outdated myths and preconceived ideas, the reality of the artist's vocation has more than one definition, and as many truths as there are creators. By bringing together singular artistic trajectories, Club 707 aspires to foster connections, between creative people and between the visions of the world that their work conveys. Convinced that an artistic identity is built on the plurality of viewpoints that nurture it, Club 707 has a collaborative vocation. Aware of the solitude often imposed by artists' working conditions, the association works to anchor itself in a spontaneous artistic dialogue, rich in varied horizons and mutual enrichment.

TO CONTRIBUTE
TO THE EVOLUTION,
VISIBILITY & RECOGNITION
OF INDEPENDANT
CREATIVES WORKERS,
new educational and political models need to be devised. These can only be formulated through lasting relationships between professionals, over the long time it takes to bring about structural change. It is such relationships that Club 707 is committed to building and perpetuating.
The artist'S WAY
June 6th to 9th, 2024, Le Shakirail
Paris As part of its group exhibitions, Club 707 brings together five artists around a central theme, fostering dialogue between diverse practices. Centered on The Artist’s Life, the selected creators had the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas on their respective questions, and learn from one another. Through artworks and exclusive interviews shared on its social media platforms, Club 707 is committed to promoting and making the artists' worlds accessible to a wide audience.

concept note
Between outdated myths and common misconceptions, the reality of being an artist has more than one definition—just as many truths as there are creators. Governed by high expectations yet few clear rules, the art world unfolds like a bustling anthill: both a field of possibilities and a labyrinth. At its core, the artist navigates this universe, interacting with a multitude of players. In shaping their circle, they surround themselves, confront challenges, and position themselves among their peers, staying true to their values. By bringing together unique artistic journeys,
Club 707 aims to foster connections—between works of art and the worldviews they convey. It encourages collective efforts to build lasting and meaningful ties within the creative ecosystem. Gathered for this exhibition, the featured artists have met, exchanged ideas, and gradually formed their own circle, balancing shared challenges with individual concerns.

Their lives as artists are, above all, daily experiences, questions, and struggles—both material and mental—that unite as much as they divide. Each one contributes their own stone to "the grand collective architecture that is the life of an artist."Their works serve as gateways into these reflections—introspections transformed into substance, shaped, and presented to the world. Seen as "a way of learning to receive and to give back," creation embodies a sense of time, lived experiences, and intersecting perspectives, making it an inherently plural process.
To look beyond the solitude often imposed by artistic working conditions, Club 707 strives to foster a spontaneous artistic dialogue—rich in diverse and interconnected horizons. By facilitating the formation of collaborative circles, it supports the essential process of each artist’s journey within this vast and intricate ecosystem.

EUROPEAN tour
For its latest exhibition, Club 707 sought to explore a definition of the artist’s way across the French borders. With the opportunity to meet thirteen artists across nine European cities, Adria Vallejo gathered their voices and perspectives on this theme.
Published for the first time last year, the fanzine La vie d’artistes compiles each artist’s response to the question, "If you could give some advice to your past self, what would it be?", and their analog portrait shot by Adria.
Enriched by diverse and multicultural perspectives, each of these encounters—in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Stockholm, Bruxelles, Prague, Vienna, and Malmö—embodies the challenges Club 707 sets for itself: to be a platform for connections and collaborations, and to amplify the voices of those who shape the artist’s way.
